Beats per minute can be obtained on google for any speed you like
500 BPM equals 1000 Rpm [4stroke]

Even though the spec is 1000-1200 rpm, 1000 rpm is too low because the valve train doesn't get enough oil. I have my idle set at 1400 to help keep the oil pressure up.
