Title: Small oil leak
Post by EspenA1982 on 06/22/21 at 11:56:43

Hello, ive noticed 2 or 3 drops of oil when i park after a really long ride, its just been at the workshop and changed camshaft and tensioner so i dont think its coming from the clutch cover. But its coming from that side of the bike, the only place it is wet from oil is under the mount to the speedo wire and clutch cable, and a little bit under the engine! But i noticed that it looked cracked under the mount of the clutch cable, i painted the engine in the spring so it might just be the paint that is cracked, have any of you experinced a leak from that place (see photo) there is no oil over that point. No leaks from the top.

Have you oiled the clutch cable lately? Oil can seep down from the cable if it has beeen freshly oiled. (or over oiled )

Hey thanks for the response, no i havent oiled the clutch cable, but i took out the speedowire and my fingers got full of oil, there was alot of oil inside the cap for the speedowire. I also have the Ryca speedowire that have no gasket/o-ring so i think maybe there is coming some oil out of there  :)

It's supposed to have a gasket. Go down to your local hardware store and get an o-ring or flat rubber washer.
