Title: Charcoal filter box under the airbox Post by Slowlane on 02/06/21 at 06:31:14 Has anyone removed the charcoal filter and associated hoses from under the airbox? I believe it's only mandatory on Calif models. My 2009 is a Calif model in Florida. I have it jacked up now with the wheels off and it would be a good time to remove the filter if I knew where it was bolted. Thanks, Slowlane |

You will need to cap off the vent port on the carb, and install a drain hose on the fuel tank vent pipe so gasoline can drain to the bottom of the bike if any fuel comes out the vent when you ride. |
Title: Re: Charcoal filter box under the airbox Post by Slowlane on 02/08/21 at 17:19:27 I finally got it out. The 4 bolts were easy but it hung up on the swingarm yoke and fought to the death. I had to chisel off the two hose necks. I'm gonna name this bike Rocky. It fights anything you do to it and never gives up. |
