Title: Wider rear tire & fork gaiters
Post by tzutzu42 on 11/03/20 at 10:21:44

Hi,

I am planning to put a wider and change to a bigger rim for my rear wheel to fit a dual-sport tire. What mods I will have to do to make this happen? I just changed my rear shocks to 12.5".

I have another question about the fork gaiters, I am thinking to put one on my 2003 savage's front fork but I am not really sure what size I will have to look for since there is no specific fit one at the aftermarket.

Thanks!

I got my a 150/80 as back tire, no problems!

In anyway, some people want some realy thick backtires that goes in betwen the swingarm, they have to do som tricks.

Soo lets say you stick to x/80, the tire gonna rise, so one need to do somthing about the nuts/bolts that protrud on the back fender.

The forks are 38mm. Any gaiters for 38's will work.
