Title: Is TDC really that important to check valve timing Post by ckahleer on 08/26/20 at 15:12:31 I have found anywhere not on the cam lobe, give the same results as tdc when checking valve gap. |

Title: Re: Is TDC really that important to check valve ti Post by Dave on 08/27/20 at 01:48:39 As long as the rocker is on the round "base" of the cam and not on any one of the ramps where the cam is pushing on the rocker - you are likely to get the same clearance value. So you don't have to have the TDC marks perfectly in alignment - but they should be within sight of each other. |
