A leading Democratic candidate in a closely watched House race brushed off looting and arson that occurred during nationwide unrest during protests about racism and police brutality sparked by the death of George Floyd.

“What the hell you got snipers on the roof for in a peaceful march? Even if people loot, so what? Burn it to the ground, you know, if that’s what it’s going to take to fix our nation,” retired Air Force Col. Kim Olson said during a live digital event on Tuesday, shown in a clip obtained by the Washington Examiner.

“I don’t think people want me to say that,” added Olson, a Democratic candidate in Texas’s 24th Congressional District, which covers much of the suburban area in between Fort Worth and Dallas.

Democrats did not brush off crime and looting. one guy said let's burn down the country. he was wrong and should be arrested. armed 2nd amendment people cleaned up after the violence. nothing wrong with that. the protest is about a policeman putting his knee on a guys neck for 8 minutes , until he called for his mother and died. that's not right. something needs to be done. crime and looting pisses me off. watching peaceful protests does not.

ZERO,, NONE, the Only arrest was a woman who wouldnt stop wearing a mask.

YOure defending destroying homes and businesses.. after the cops have been arrested..

Obviously people support riots.

The claim that the same groups that implemented Stay at Home orders are the same groups that support, or endorse riots is wrong.

They are different groups.

This is not the same group that implemented Stay at home orders. Is it hypocritical for most on that list, absolutely. Is it the same group? No.

Should people who pressed for stay at home that are now ok with mass gatherings be challenged? Yes.

Should we claim that the CDC agrees? No.

Should we call bullsh!t on the groups that claim protests are all good, but going to church is not? Yes.

Should we claim State governments have "approved" riots? No.

Call the facts, leave out the exaggerated nonsense.

This shows how little a lot of people know about crowd control, but to be fair it's not like that would be a skill set the average person is educated in. But then again CBP, ICE, and every other security/access control/contractor and military security specialist is wrong about how a wall works.

Numbers and law are an issue, no matter what TV and the internet says.

This logic is no different than saying if someone doesn't say they're FOR guns, they are absolutely AGAINST them, even if they never saw this post, or don't care.
