I would add, they have put the people on slave wages so they cant live otherwise.

I have been to Taiwan, and have friend who was born there. She had never seen bats, and rats and other things like that in the market. So I think these are the result of Mao starving people, They ate what they could find, sadly after all these years it stayed on their plate.
