Title: A thread for random thoughts
Post by WebsterMark on 03/15/20 at 05:11:04

“Violence makes the news precisely because it is so rare; routine kindness does not make the news precisely because it is so common.”

Yesterday, it took months to cross the nation with an absolute certainty some in your group wouldn’t survive. Today, I can breakfast at home and dinner in Paris.

Yesterday it took hours of work to provide food and shelter for the next day. Today we get angry waiting because Amazon’s delivery is delayed a day.

Yesterday we struggled to identify and contain a virus, tomorrow doing so will be routine, expected. The struggles to make it so will have been long since forgotten.

Now that everything is in doubt, does having thoughts make sense?

Does anybody else feel like we're in a sci-fi movie?...

Fortunately,...
The one activity that we can safely do,... is ride our bikes.

The eventual outcome is not in doubt. The only question is how steep the mountain is, how much effort to conquer it.

Un ? Didn't the title say:
"A thread for random thoughts"
OK, So I started a new thread.

Of course the funniest thing was,
Bot agreeing with you,
After he said: "...he feels like we're in a sci-fi movie..."

Perhaps Bot was thinking he was Burgess Meredith, in the Twilight Zone's, "The Obsolete Man".
Wait, Bot would have played Subaltern, who said:
"Stand where you are.
You have been removed from office.
The Field Investigators have declared you, Obsolete ".

A nice idea, repeated by JOG, as he thrashes in agony, having bounced violently off the car that turned left.
I need a chrome tank, so they see me..
