Title: Is the exhaust header single or double-walled? Post by DesertCat on 03/10/20 at 12:00:45 Is the exhaust header on a 2014 LS650 single or double-walled? It would seem that it is single walled due to its propensity to yellow and then "blue" after a few thousand miles. I've owned several BMW boxers and their pipes blue after a few hundred miles, and they are all single-walled header pipes. No BMW owner ever complains about this. I never did either -- it's expected. I've had bikes with double-walled header pipes which resist yellowing (and then bluing) till many thousands of miles. Before someone rails on me, I'm just curious -- not complaining. |
