Post by WebsterMark on 02/09/20 at 06:27:10 Short of a disaster on an epic scale, Divine intervention or an acknowledgment of defeat, I don’t see where or how the chasm closes. If Trump wins in 2020 (which is an extremely high probability) the left will once again be at a crossroad. The only chance at pulling this nation back together, even to a slight degree, rest entirely upon the left’s shoulders. When some rams fight, they repeatedly smash heads together but sooner or later the loser backs away. He falls in line with the herd, becomes part of the group’s defense when needed, but all the while he reevaluates, remakes himself, get stronger and returns to a fight again, but he’s not the same ram as he was before. So it is with our leftist friends. They need to acknowledge defeat, regroup and return as Democrats, not as enemies to the historical United States of America. |

Ya gotta remember, folks all want pretty much the same things in life, regardless of race, gender, beliefs, etc... The key element is achieving that, is the ability for a person to achieve it on their own free from strings and conditions that require a portion of our independence, free will.....to be surrender and beholden. That number is way more huge, than those who fret, over a narrative, by those who capitalize on packaging anxiety....... The key is capitalism, but its still needs to be fettered, and tweaked, and that is a fluid and changing condition, based on the uncertainties of life, itself..... Web, be of good cheer, we are instructed, as such, by one who knows the end....that bro, is our witness, don't fall prey to the mindset of uncertainty and evil. Look at Apostle Paul......he is as relevant today, as he was when he walked the earth..... ;) |

No, we don’t need to try and make a better mousetrap, it works fine. “Take care of widows and orphans...” If you take a bird feeder away, birds will find some way to get food. There is no “scarlet letter” anymore. Failure is a badge of honor. Comfort pets on every flight, high school boys saying they’re girls and playing on sports teams, every struggle is due to some new type of depression...... how the hell did this great nation rise to the heights it has and now all of a sudden, we’re built on a house of cards? Again, take care of widows and orphans but those who are able, need to step up a little bit more. This country doesn’t supply prosperity, it’s supplies equality of opportunity and when we fail at that, we need to address it, but stop pretending “the American Dream” is a guarantee, it’s not. It’s really “The American Opportunity.” |

I am just saying none of know about another persons struggles, obstacles, etc, until we walk a mile in their shoes..... Perhaps we could knock of some of those steps....is all I am saying. You know, like find a pond, lead them to it, then its up to them to drink from it..... We can help, without enabling, it does not have to be one, or the other, of two extremes, that is what is letting all this division fester..... |

We’ve long since moved from a safety net to a sidewalk with no guards to check if you should be here. I remember when Hopey-Change extended unemployment benefits another half year or more. My lazy brother-in-law sat on his tail playing video games, completely comfortable in his surroundings and expanding his network of friends who were likewise comfortable living off everyone else’s dime. Misery loves company is only half the story, Misery loves company and tricks some (many)into accepting things as they are. I’ll give illegals who risk border crossings with kids a little credit for at least wanting more. |
