Title: Speedo buzzing Post by BPK56 on 02/08/20 at 13:24:30 I've tried searching the Forum but found no hits. My speedo buzzes when the rpm's are up. Especially in 5th at 55 to 65 mph. It screams! I took off the tank and the 3 nuts on the springs are tight. How now? |
Title: Re: Speedo buzzing Post by batman on 02/08/20 at 15:41:25 I used RTV shot inside the three springs ,basically filling the springs in a cylinder shape . I think the springs have a frequency, RTV seems to cancel. |

Title: Re: Speedo buzzing Post by Yoshi on 02/09/20 at 18:45:49 You can replace those springs with some fuel line |
Title: Re: Speedo buzzing Post by IslandRoad on 02/09/20 at 19:45:07 You can stretch the springs with a pair of pliers ... worked for me. I stretched them to about 50% longer then stuck 'em back in. |

Title: Re: Speedo buzzing Post by DragBikeMike on 02/21/20 at 11:04:53 Great info. Years ago (like around 1989) I had this buzzing problem on an old 4-speed LS. I never figured it out. Drove me nuts. Now I know how to fix it. Thanks for letting us know how it worked out. :) |
