Absolutely not. He didn't die of any problems or of any diseases. He was assasinated well past 70.

There is not even a debate any more about this, it claimed the nobel prize in 2016, the cleanest way to cure a bunch of diseases as well as being fat is to simply not eat till you're thin (and true hunger has returned) Its not even that hard past day 5 or so.

He likely was never attacked physically so take that for what its worth, but he did mean physically - if someone slaps you - you offer the other cheek.
Given that it was Gandhi, I'd interpret it as, if someone slaps your right jaw bone, offer then your left jaw bone - It was literal. Not a metaphor only.

If that means not striking back then sure.

When the workers attempted to enter the factory and were beaten they went to the first aid tent, got back in line and walked back in for more physical attacks. It was self defense.

I beg to differ. India gained independence from the colonial rulers on August 15, 1947. The USA gained it's independence on July 4, 1776. That is difference of 171 years, that is a long time to fast....

I would agree Ghandi supported self defense, physically as an option second to passive behavior, but not at the level of supporting individual gun ownership as the image presents. I actually can't say he indicated either way since firearm ownership isn't a right anywhere where Ghandi lived or travelled.

I know many people who voted for HRC, that do not think banning guns will do anything at all.

More than two, closer several hundred. Most of them military or law enforcement.
