China is set to add new coal-fired power plants equivalent to the EU’s entire capacity, as the world’s biggest energy consumer ignores global pressure to rein in carbon emissions. They have 987 operating coal power plants and are building another 121.

To use that logic, why not just abandon any and all EPA regulations, let any industrial company dump their pollution in the waterways, suspend all emission requirements, etc.

more coal power plants = more air pollution

more air pollution = more dead citizens

more dead citizens = population control

china is over populated

couples are limited to 1 child only

Let's take a moment to memorialize just how far gone reason is in this present moment of our age. An otherwise bright guy has just posited that China is poisoning their environment as a means of population control. When did it become OK to be so divorced from reality? Did it start with the Moon landing hoaxers? Maybe we're just so spoiled that we feel removed from the consequences of promoting stupid crap. Or maybe I'm wrongly taking a joke seriously- please, tell me that's the case!

FYI: the One Child policy ended in 2016.
