The Kurds will most likely be of value and be able to create an alliance elsewhere but that does not mean they will be fine. The process of disengagement does influence the perception of US value in future and current negotiations. I'm not saying we should not leave Syria, I am saying we could have done it through planning and not executive order alone. This feels like a political move that from a logistics position could have been done in a better way for everyone involved. |
