Title: The Dow Post by NHLycan on 10/08/19 at 16:34:09 Anyone else notice that the DJIA hasn't gained even a percent in almost 2 years? Kind of creepy. |
Title: Re: The Dow Post by WebsterMark on 10/08/19 at 18:23:26 Where did you see that? Two years ago, October 6th 2017, it was 22,773. Today it closed at 26,478. As a point of reference, when Trump took office on 1/20/17, it was 19,827. https://www.thestreet.com/quote/djia/dow-jones-industrial-average-today.html |

Title: Re: The Dow Post by NHLycan on 10/09/19 at 10:36:22 In January of 2018, the DJIA closed at 26,000 and change. That's almost two years ago. That's what it is now. That's interesting to me. I haven't lived through many periods of time where this sort of flat-lining has occurred. Drops and gains, yes. But this? Odd. |

Yep, kinda odd. Obama's first term - 5000 point gain. Obama's second term - 4000 point gain. But then, when these gains were had, the conservatives I knew said "that's not the economy". |
