They passed this law because they felt that motorcycles should be treated like cages. Ok...except in Washington, Idaho, Michigan, we have 'Broad Form' liability insurance. Broad Form insurance provides liability insurance for the DRIVER, not the VEHICLE. If you have 5 cars, you only need one Broad Form policy.

Sounds nice, right?

Except there's a big catch - this does not cover motorcycles.

So if motorcycles are treated like autos, then Broad Form insurance should be available to us? Nope.

We've been handed over to the evil insurance empire.

This used to be a somewhat motorcycle friendly state. >:(
