Isnt a "drive-by" a comment of little substance or ridicule in another person's thread? As in entering the thread to make a comment and leave without adding to the content.

Or are we now saying created threads must contain specific values and topic content to not be considered a "drive-by" also? Are they a "drive-by" of the entirety of Politics and Religion?

Drive-by's aren't banned.
Personal attacks are.

I do drive-by's all the time.
Most topics really aren't worth anything more.
A drive-by makes a point in the most concise way possible, and stands on it's own without need for further defense or discussion.
Usually with an element of humour.
JoG is very good at them.
I think he's usually wrong, but they're often funny.

Think about it.
Web's "1 Adam 12" comment is drive-by of a drive-by.

The facial expressions that the artist has captured with these images are worth more than a thousand words each.

Someone needs to give WM's 'drive by' broken record chant, a bit of a nudge into another groove.
