San Francisco Officials Pass Resolution Declaring NRA A Domestic Terrorist Group

A resolution passed unanimously in San Francisco this week declares the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization.

The city’s board of supervisors passed the resolution on Tuesday, accusing the NRA of inciting gun violence and arming people who commit acts of terror across the U.S.

“All countries have violent and hateful people, but only in America do we give them ready access to assault weapons and large-capacity magazines thanks, in large part, to the National Rifle Association’s influence,” the resolution reads in part. “Now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the City and County of San Francisco intends to declare the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization.”

The board also cited gun violence statistics in its decision.

“The United States is plagued by an epidemic of gun violence, including over 36,000 deaths, and 100,000 injuries each year,” the document notes. “Every day approximately 100 Americans are killed with guns and ... there has been more than one mass shooting per day in the United States in 2019.”

The NRA [ch8213] which is facing collapse amid financial mismanagement and legal fees [ch8213] dismissed the resolution, calling it “ludicrous.”

“This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime,” NRA spokesperson Amy Hunter told KQED.

The resolution calls on other cities and states, as well as the federal government, to join San Francisco in designating the group a domestic terrorist organization.

1 bullet one kill no need or want for large magazines

I've asked the question here b4 why so many rounds
"cause I want to" was the answer
I want to do 130 on the interstate how many lives would I be putting in danger?
I know driving is a privilege and gun ownership is a right
semi auto and full auto weapons did not exist when the 2nd amendment
was enacted
it is time for reason and logical reasoning to come up with realistic gun control
I don't have the answer
I know this can not go on the way it is

if the NRA had any sense it would champion reform otherwise it's goose is cooked

I could not support 2nd amendment repeal

reform is needed...

The People have a right to protect themselves from
A Tyrannical Government.
THAT'S the purpose of the second amendment.
It's NOT permission for the people
It Prohibits the Government from encroaching on our rights.

If only our personally owned firearms could still stop the Government.

I'm not saying to remove the Second Amendment, I'm just saying that using an AR against an F-18 is unrealistic in the grand scheme of protecting yourself from the Government.

I suspect that a lot of the "from my cold dead hands faction", rather than being "Ticked", are actually laughing their As*es off. I know that I am.

This is, after all, the " Board of Supervisors" who are running a city that is, quite literally, full of sh*t,

This "Resolution" is just another worthless, steaming pile on the sidewalk.
