I agree which is why it is not an equal comparison and a semantics discussion is pointless because the answers provided are not the same and address two outcomes, one of which was never presented. What he is asking for is the removal of the Tall Table. The comparison is faulted by asking for a complete removal of all person's ability to access the Tall Table and replying with disallowing mentally unstable/dangerous individuals into a fireworks factory. Those are not the same thing. So we can either assume that he is indicating that only certain people should be banned from the Tall Table (No pyromaniacs) or that the Tall Table should be removed. (No fireworks for anyone) Based off of this statement: "But I agreed, we should get rid of it. It's a gravitational anomaly that captures some and won't let them go. We need someone to Supernova this." It seems to me that the request is closer to the removal of the Tall Table and all person's ability to contribute to it than it is to removing certain individuals. So I stand by my questions: Why terminate a public forum that some use and enjoy because you don't like what others type on it? Why remove all fireworks even from those that do not abuse them? |
