Title: UFO Post by hotrod on 08/12/19 at 19:45:09 The instruction manual for the UFO mentions grinding off the intake roof section of the stock 36mm slide to match with the plastic UFO. It also says that it may need to have a hole drilled through the needle jet nozzle. If these changes are made and I'm not happy, can I go back to the previous set up, or is this now a UFO committed carb ? |

And how much to remove from the front side of the slide ? It takes some time to drill and remove material carefully, but the result is worth the effort, in my opinion. However, if you are unsure of what you are doing then you should consider the possible cost of replacing the slide. |
Title: Re: UFO Post by hotrod on 08/13/19 at 08:18:43 I'm just matching the overhang lip on the intake side of the slide. I had to sand the mounting surface of the UFO to drop a little deeper into the slide because it would not let the slide close completely and made the idle screw adjuster useless. I can control the idle speed now. Using a #15 pilot jet, but may try closing it off. Still a little rich. Nothing road tested jet. |
