Title: Real Compassion
Post by T And T Garage on 07/30/19 at 14:07:29

Is something that mitch mcconnell knows nothing about.

He's a vile little a$$hole.

U.S. coal miners discouraged by black lung meeting with McConnell

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A group of coal miners afflicted with black lung disease met with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday as part of an effort to convince lawmakers to restore a higher excise tax on coal companies to help fund their medical care, but several said the meeting left them discouraged.

McConnell, the Republican leader who represents Kentucky - one of the states that has seen a rebound in the progressive respiratory illness - told them their benefits would be safe but gave no assurances about the excise tax and left without answering questions or offering details, several of the miners who attended the meeting said.

“We rode up here for 10 hours by bus to get some answers from him because he represents our state,” said George Massey, a miner from Harlan County, Kentucky who spent two decades in the mines and is on disability. “For him to come in for just two minutes was a low-down shame.”

How would that relate to someone,
who constantly portrays a ANTI-Gun attitude,
in 'saying', total UNTRUTHS,
about what Gun Laws are about, what they do, what are the requirements, etc.

Sad that you come back to guns nearly all the time.

How scared are you, mn?  Do you live in constant fear?

Why do you focus on guns?

Why do you think mitch knows nothing about this?  He represents Kentucky.  Hmm... now what's in Kentucky?... Oh yeah!  Coal mines!!

But you go right ahead and defend ol' mitch.  He must be your kinda guy...

Why after all of these years is the coal mining industry not taking the necessary precautions to prevent detrimental illnesses such as black lung?

Best regards,

That's a silly question.... profits, of course.  Capitalism 101.

The coal industry doesn't give two sh!ts about those miners.  Isn't that obvious?

Certainly Congress doesn't care either, since providing for that type of care would eat into their fundraising money.

I'm actually surprised that you'd even need to ask that question.....

Hard me for me to believe the threat of infinite law suits would be enough for the companies to take action.

Best regards,
