Embargoes ?

The TDS UL FDS’s are all screaming about embargoes/tariffs.

Golly Gee, ‘forgot’ about the Canadian one on milk ?
at 200-300 % ????
And again before the FDS’s scream about the ‘rate’ being filled first, before the 200-300% kicks in. (which is all milk products, each type a different tariff)
That, ‘rate’ is for single purchase consumer items that are brought back accost the border, by Canadian Subjects.
“…The country says that it allows 64,500 metric tons of fluid milk into the country under the lower tariff rate, but it assumes that the amount is filled by cross-border shoppers who buy milk in American stores and then bring it back to Canada – meaning that commercial fluid milk imports to be consumed in Canada are subject to a 241 percent tariff…”

Here is a really big one ! In 1972, The USSR purchased more than $1billion worth of American wheat, feed grains and soybeans, the biggest grain deal in history.
Which then HUGELY increased value of farmland. And farmers could borrow more for things like seeds, fertilizer and equipment.

Then the Carter administration retaliated with economic sanctions and trade embargoes, which stopped U.S. grain into the U.S.S.R.
“…We had such a huge surplus of grain. We were growing grains that had no market…”

At the height of the crisis, a third of Minnesota farms were in serious financial trouble.
Farmers faced crushing debt loads; others lost their farms. Suicides among farmers increased, and the effects of the crisis rippled through rural America.

A crush that made the housing bubble burst, look like a drop in a thimble.
17-18% Mortgage rates !!!!!!!!!! At one time, went as high as 21.5%

Why ? Carter.
Just one of the reasons he received the, ‘worst’ trophy.
(which he had to give to Obama)

So again, the UL, FDS’s, not old enough to remember.
Not old enough to have had to borrow money during that time.
Only listen to the lies, and ‘made up’, stories delivered by AOC, BS, CU and like,
and actually believe it.

No defense for the, 'necessary/wonderful', thing Carter did ?
