I just read the National Weather Service says there have been 10 lighting strike fatalities related to motorcycles since 2006.

Also, its not completely true that the rubber tires is what protects you in a car from lighting, its the body of the body of the car that carries the charge around you to the ground and also defects the heat away from you.
