Title: Told You So
Post by T And T Garage on 05/29/19 at 14:13:43

Mueller: 'If we had had confidence that the president had clearly not committed a crime, we would have said so'

But he didn't.  trump is worthy of one thing - impeachment.

Special counsel Robert Mueller issued his first public statement on his investigation into Russian interference with the 2016 election, emphasizing one of the key points of his report: that his office did not conclude whether or not President Trump committed a crime.

In his statement, Mueller said his office could not bring criminal charges against the president because the team believed it to be unconstitutional.

“If we had had confidence that the president had clearly not committed a crime, we would have said so,” said Mueller, adding, “Charging the president with a crime is not an option we could consider.”

"It would be unfair to potentially accuse somebody of a crime when there can be no court resolution of the actual charge,” said Mueller, further explaining the reasoning.

Try proving a negative.
If they HAD evidence of wrongdoing, you'd be hearing about it.
They don't.
Mule err hates Trump, like you lefties.
He refused to admit no evidence of wrongdoing exists, and played to

We can't prove he didn't do it.

And lefties treat that like a golden cookie.

Phhht..

Comey read off a list of offences Hillary committed, then declared she didn't intend to do anything Wrong, so, no indictment.
Mueller says
We can't find Trump DID anything
But
We're Frikken Sure he meant to, so, we can't indict, but we know he's a criminal at heart.

That's strictly for the uneducated.
That's NOT how the law works.
Nobody is CERTAIN that You haven't committed a crime. But they can't indict you, because there is insufficient evidence OF a crime.
Just because a lawyer says something, that doesn't mean it's supportable by rational people.

Afraid it is jog - in fact, it's how the Constitution works.

No, it's because he's a sitting president.

The problem is - there are no rational people in the trump administration.   ;D

Mueller would have been better off if he had just retired and not said anything. If you started out your press conference by saying the report speaks for itself, then let it do just that and go fishing....  This is where Trump's mouth gets him into trouble. Call anyone names for a couple years like he did to Mueller and if they get a chance to fire back, they will. That's what Mueller did at his press conference. He fired a belly shot into Trump with that stupid comment. Maybe Trump will die from his wounds, maybe he won't, but Muller got his revenge.

The bottom line is a sitting President is never going to be indicted for duties related to his office and if he were, it would most likely eventually get tossed out years down the line in a Supreme Court decision. Everyone is NOT equal under the law. The President and to a lesser extend, the Vice President, do not stand on the same legal ground as the rest of us do, while they're still in office.

But the solution is impeachment. So I say the Dems should go ahead, start talking about it. Hold hearings in the Judicial Committee. Give The Beluga Whale, Nadler, the camera time he wants. If they vote it out of committee and it goes to the full house, I'm not sure how it would turn out. We do have an election coming up which is a defacto impeachment because you know the Senate will never vote to remove him from office. Besides, by the time all that happens, the election will be at their doorstep.

If the country doesn't want Trump anymore, he'll lose, basically impeached by the people. If they do, he'll win.

I wonder if the dems will vote him a second term just to see him impeached.

That's as good a strategy as Biden figuring he's got a better chance of winning if fewer people see him.....

A couple years of name-calling, harassment, and trying to get Mueller fired... and Mueller takes out Trump with one shot...

The very stable genius is on weak legs... 8-)

He's not a politician. How many times have you heard politicians brush aside attacks towards themselves. None of us do on here. Someone takes a shot at us, we fire back. Minus Eegore. Eegore is acting like a politician, the rest of us are not.

Trump can't shut up and smart politicians simply wait him out and land a big body blow fairly easily. Its happened to Trump a thousand times since he's taken office. Mueller was just the latest to take advantage and get revenge because of his big mouth and Twitter feed. They'll be more.

Only thing is, none of them have been fatal. Any other 'politician' would have been gone a long time ago. So, at the end of the day, Trump gets his cake and eats it too. He can say what he wants and the perfect shots back at him meet his metaphorical bullet proof vest.

But.........even a bullet proof vest eventually wears out. If Trump wasn't such a sore winner, he'd win 2020 in a Reagan/Mondale type landslide.
