Title: Offset Drive Pulley Post by DieselBob on 04/21/19 at 07:58:37 - Always a dangerous thing when I'm sick and in the recliner with time on my hands. An interesting example of an offset drive pulley with outrigger support bearing to accommodate a wide-tired Savage "softtail" (to use Harley terminology). I only wish my Russian was good enough to fully appreciate the humorous clips interjected into the mix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Py6q-L628 Numerous other vids of the build can be found on his Youtube page. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH3uK5VspX8v2yAVi7TdYtg/videos |
Title: Re: Offset Drive Pulley Post by Dave on 04/22/19 at 06:34:46 Here is the finished product: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTUez-Y_CvI While I respect their ability and vision.......it is far more tire than a 30HP engine requires (but so is the stock tire). I guess it is about getting the "look" and not about performance or durability. |
Title: Re: Offset Drive Pulley Post by ohiomoto on 04/22/19 at 06:57:48 I love the cool machine work and engineering they put into it. Sounds like a turd and doesn't look all that inspiring to ride, but still love seeing what people do to these bikes. |
