Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by justin_o_guy2 on 01/29/19 at 14:18:22 I sure hope someone has a solution that brings the buckhorns up a little over an inch and back about the same. |
Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by batman on 01/29/19 at 22:10:24 Put a 2x4 under the front tire? ::) I'd look at after market H-D risers ,the ones that aren't joined ,should work, and there should be more of a selection , in the proper 1 inch size. |

Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by verslagen1 on 01/30/19 at 07:47:02 Note that HD risers use a 1/2" bolt which doesn't fit in stock dampers. You'll have to replace the steel thru tube. |
Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by Dave on 01/30/19 at 08:17:22 For my wrists....the Buckhorns just aren't comfortable. They put my wrists in bends that are not comfortable to maintain for any length of time. I would be inclined to find handlebars that are a different shape - if I was riding a bike with Buckhorns. |
Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by batman on 01/30/19 at 11:05:04 Dave ,I found the same thing to be true ,in the past I used drag bars with a 20 degree pull back, and now use old style HD Sportster bars ,both of which are a vast improvement over stock buck horns. |
Title: Re: Handlebar risers Post by verslagen1 on 01/30/19 at 11:46:26 I've been using the 'superbars' for the past 5 years and while immediately thought they were the bars for me, I've had to switch back to the buckhorns to relieve some stress on my elbow. This and a stress reducing mouse the pain in my elbow has eased. |
