Hi All, it's been a while since I last posted. Hope you are all well. I plan to get the old girl back on the road again next year, so I'm going to do some work on her over the winter. I want to repaint her so I'm going to talk to the body shop guys I know. What I wanted to ask here was, is there someone on here that recovers seats? You see mine has split.

You can get new covers on ebay and do it yourself, it is easy. Remove old cover and staples, slip new one on, secure with power staple gun, and trim the excess away. A bit of spray adhesive around the edges will help hold it in place while you staple too. Just use short staples so that they don't poke all the way through the seat pan and the outside of your new seat cover.

I got a local "auto-trimmer" (does car interiors) to do mine when I reshaped the foam. It didn't cost a fortune and I was delighted with the results as I got to choose my own covering (I always disliked the stock seat cover) and I got to have input on where the stitching could run.

All in all it was a good experience.
