Who has mounted a USB port. What did you do and how does it look?

Me.  MM taught me how.  Make sure to get one with an inline fuse for safety.

For the power lead (red) I tapped into the power wire inside the headlight bucket that is only live when the key is on.  The ground I tied back to the screw that holds the horn to the frame.  Mounted it to one of the risers behind my windshield. Works great.

Thanks. It was disappointing on yesterdays ride when my electronics died.

These work too if you have the tender lads on your battery, but these will drain your battery if you leave it hooked up and walk away. There is safety in the hard wired method going to the headlight feed.

Is a "tender lad" similar to a "sensitive new age guy"?  :-?

Yeah. No tender lads on my bike. But I do have Tender Leads.

I do like the idea of using a keyed power feed.

You know....lads?!?  Both of my bikes have them.  They are connected to the doohickum right behind the whatchamajigger and thingerdud.  You just have to be careful not to let any blinker fluid drip on the doohickum or it'll ruin it
