Title: A real stunner Post by Tocsik on 09/13/18 at 18:16:59 I'm frequently impressed, amazed and in awe of the talent on this forum. Thought everyone would appreciate this beauty, too. http://www.bikeexif.com/vintage-harley-davidson-super-10 |
Title: Re: A real stunner Post by engineer on 09/13/18 at 18:49:23 It doesn't look anything like the Super 10 I knew. During the very early sixties a friend spent the summer away from home and left the custody of his Harley Super 10 to my buddy and I. We had a blast on that thing. It didn't feel like other small displacement bikes, the front wheel seemed bigger and the handle bars were wider and it felt like a much bigger bike. No rear shocks so it bounced around and handled poorly on the rough back roads but it was fun. http://https://www.google.com/search?q=harley+super+10&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiw142NrrndAhUIzqQKHULBC3oQ7Al6BAgEEA0&biw=1184&bih=560#imgrc=_brtopBJBguHWM: |
Title: Re: A real stunner Post by Tocsik on 09/13/18 at 18:56:15 Oh, it's definitely not just a Super 10. He pieced it together, but the pieces are so pretty. Real craftsmanship. |

Title: Re: A real stunner Post by Eegore on 09/14/18 at 07:02:26 I've always thought one of those late 40's springer style front ends would look good on a Savage. I used leaf springs to create a "swingarm" on a dirt bike years ago, but using them on the seat is a great idea. Looks clean. |
