Title: Starting with a 4L battery? Post by SavageMan99 on 08/12/18 at 12:02:49 I'm getting power to the starter. But it's not turning over. Motors not seized. It's been many years since it was turned over. Bad starter, needs service, or to little battery? Started raining, so I'm inside pondering.

Post by batman on 08/12/18 at 12:39:37  4L battery- 3.5 AH-50 CCA   stock battery-  12 AH   -200 CCA It appears the 4L has less than 1/4 the capacity ,and only 1/4 the available cranking power,I'm just guessing( because I don't have a clamp around amp meter and so I don't know how much power the starter motor draws) but I think you need a larger strength battery, something around 7 AH - and 100-120 CCA . Other's have gone to smaller batteries(I haven't) and should have a better idea of what size you need.
