Yes....except I would not have used a more period looking side mounted headlight - that modern looking bottom mount headlight doesn't look right on that bike.

And that is a nice bike.

Come on Dave !the front disc brake isn't period either ,but it's still a great looking bike.

Sorry - but a Chinese made cruiser headlight just doesn't belong on that bike.  It just doesn't match the quality and attention to detail that is elsewhere on the bike.

The disc front brake is period for the engine.......it does go back to 1973.

Dave, I agree but Harley Sprint headlights were mounted like that from early 60s so it's not really a period issue.  However, all the Brit bikes that I recall did have side mounts.  The Triumph engine is a beautiful piece of art on its own.  Makes a great original, cafe, or 70s chopper.  I miss the Brit bikes but ride the Savage because it has some of the Brit single cylinder appeal and parts availability is second to none.  Long live the Savage and owners who know, understand, and respect them!

I apologize for the oversight in my comment on the headlight mount.  The Sprint headlight mounted from the bottom, but was actually ball mounted like an inverted Sportster headlight.  Not important at all, but it was post #10 for me and had to happen in a manner that would not be too imposing.  And yes, I'm an old fogey too and darn proud of it.  The older you get, the more experience you accumulate if you could only remember all of it.

compare the 'lightness' look of this bike with the current twins of a yam xsr700 etc., https://news.throttle.club/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/yam.jpg
Current bike frames look like they are filled to bursting with stuff, yet the engines are almost the same size as the triumph! 8-)
