He was fortunate that our moderator was isolated in the sense he had no one here 'on his side' so let TT do his dirty work of which he was particularly talented. When he left, many of the rest on here had an agreement not to return to that behavior and it held until EAU showed up. Now it's slowly degrading back to the days of TT. I appreciate your viewpoints faffi as I do most people's viewpoints on here. But every thread gets started, counter points are made and from there it goes into the $hitter. No one stays on topic and follows positions until a conclusion is reached. But at least we should be able to do that without calling someone an 'f'ing idiot' or "LMFAO I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE SO DENSE.." At least I would hope we could. |

As I've said, I travel for work, am in a different city nearly every week and deal with a wide range of people in the manufacturing sector. I run mostly into hard core righties, mainstream conservatives, those who fall under the mildly socially liberal but fiscally conservative. Occasionally, I'll run into a politically active Democrat but that's almost always a woman in an administrative office setting. Where do you people hide all day.... |

I did not say anything judgmental about anyone. I said I do not agree. Here is the truth, and it is very Non Politically Correct for me to say, but the old saying "Birds of a feather flock together" is a very good description of humans. That is why I know few liberal atheist and probably why you know few conservative Christians. It is just the way we are hard wired. A white guy is walking down a city street at night, ahead are 5 black guys standing on the corner, pants below their ass, so the white guy crosses the street because he fears what might happen. In another town a black guy is walking down the street at night and ahead are 5 white guys, bald heads and swastika tattoos so he crosses to the other side of the street because he fears what might happen. This precisely describe the political "discussions" on this forum. Neither side is really trying to understand the other because A) the other is acting like they know all the answers and that their view is so blatantly obvious that everybody must understand and agree and B) the opposite to the other is exactly the same. Not unlike the British Parlament where the politicians acts like children, booing, applauding, laughing sarcastically etc. Also worth noting is that this forum is a political and religious arena with some motorcycle stuff mixed in for good measure ;D |
