Title: Re: Prototypes that stayed that way - or got made Post by LANCER on 07/30/18 at 15:03:34 Interesting bikes in there. Many were made or have been made, perhaps not in the style as pictured though. I liked this one.http://https://www.motorradonline.de/media/mrd-1020928/712/150-concept-bike-mit-serienmodell-yamaha-nikenjpg.jpg |
Title: Re: Prototypes that stayed that way - or got made Post by zipidachimp on 07/30/18 at 21:57:22 isn't 3 wheels the 'dumbing down' of 2 wheels? On the other hand, would you prefer 2 wheels in front, or in back? In back for me! cheers! 8-) |
Title: Re: Prototypes that stayed that way - or got made Post by faffi on 07/30/18 at 23:33:08 Stability and control are far greater with the extra wheel up front. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uhd-8m7l5DQ |
Title: Re: Prototypes that stayed that way - or got made Post by zipidachimp on 07/30/18 at 23:43:28 My guess is a geometry problem with the reliant, plus a higher c of g. Some smart guy could do a rear engine, single front wheel that would be competitive. Think of an Ariel Atom with a single front wheel, and front/rear single seats! https://inhabitat.com/transportation-tuesday-the-ventureone/ cheers! 8-) ps: google images says I'm wrong, but I'd still like to try! :D |
