Title: Cannabis Consequences !
Post by zipidachimp on 07/30/18 at 01:36:56

In 74 years, I've never seen a MJ cig or even seen any marijuana of any type. For those who read the news, you are aware that Canada is legalizing weed effective October. The legalizing has prompted a passel of companies listing on both Can and US stock exchanges. Being a bit of a speculator, I've bought shares in a few companies in this space.
Here's the kicker: I may be banned from travelling to the US for life!

Was planning on attending the Barber Vintage Bike Festival in October.
It may be a gamble too far! Cheers! 8-)

There's a lot of issues on the backside that people aren't aware of.

In Colorado recreational cannabis has been legal for a while now and many people who work in the industry, legally, can not have bank accounts.

Many banks once they find out the money comes from a cannabis company will shut down the account and mail a check for the balance.  Many can not finance anything, cars, mortgages etc.  My friend was even banned from a YMCA because part of their finding is Federal.  Local community support groups like the Rape Crisis Center can not accept donations from many rather generous companies.

The Federally illegal part of the equation is definitely an inconvenience for a lot of people.

I'm not partaking in pot , but know the federal goverment has no right telling a state what they can or can't do.   The federal government made a power grab in 1861 that hasn't been beat back yet.      State's Rights is what the 10th amendment was to protect .     No , I don't think Slavery was right and -  yes , every group has been enslaved at some point in history so lets not even go there .    The issue is :  State's Rights vs Federal Power Appetite .

Good for Canada

One of our Tn. governor candidates has  "Legal Medical Cannabis" on her platform this year.   :)

Funny how impotent the federal government is when a city decides to sign
Federal Immigration Law,
And how powerful they are against
Evil pot that citizens have VOTED for.

Are politicians unable to understand the constitution they swore to uphold?

A lot of them are either not capable of understanding the plain language “US Constitution”, or they are choosing to ignore it.  Either way, they need to go.

   VOTE  !
