Good song, but I was referring to the last time I rode - late March 2014. My bike developed a bad electrical connection, and it has not been started since. It was only 19 months old at this time. I made an attempt(albeit a feeble one) back in 2016 to get it going. Fresh fuel and a new battery - then gave up. I didn't ever try to find/fix the bad electrical connection. Anyway, I knew before trying to fire it up that I would squirt some oil down the spark plug hole. Dave, however, recommended STA-BIL fogging oil. I still have that full can. Dave also suggested to oil up something else - to avoid possible damage to ?? Maybe valve train? It's been four years and four months now. My bike is a 2011 - purchased new on 8-21-12. It has 3025 miles on it. Any advice/suggestions would be welcomed.

I guess that I should've said that I am planning to try to get it going soon. Either that, or sell it cheap to my nephew. In either case I would want to know for myself, or to let my nephew know some precautions.

Pull one of the valve adjustment covers and dump a few ounces of 10w-40 in there...
3 or 4 oz?... sound right, Dave?...

Serowbot - that is it. verslagen1 - you took the time to find my old posts, and refreshed my memory regarding the facts. I was a little off on the particulars, but fairly close. batman - verslagen1's link explains the details regarding my problem. Thanks for the responses. If anyone else has any other suggestions before I move forward please chime in.
