Altering of DNA has finally gotten a low-grade approval. This isn't designer babies with selected traits, but modification to potentially reduce genetic deformity and disease.

With time, I expect humans to be modified so they become less aggressive and more rational, with higher intelligence and better physique. Personally, I see this as positive, although as with everything there will always be those who abuse the possibilities and use them to something bad instead to the good for us.
