Title: 1 week in.....
Post by raydawg on 06/28/18 at 14:45:01

I gotta say, this retirement stuff is GREAT  ;D

Man-o, do you ever feel like a load has been lifted from your shoulders.
It’s so much easier to manage your time when you don’t have to manage your time [ch129300]

My wife still has 3 years to go, so....

I borrowed her apron, and have kept the kitchen clean, as well as working in the boat  ;)
I also have dinner waiting, she has lost about 10 pounds in that week.
I hate to see things go to waste, so, I eat the food she leaves on her plate...
I’ve gained 10 pounds.

Oh yeah, I have no idea what all these gadgets do in the kitchen.
But they are pretty cool.
I am sure some of them might come in handy when I need a special sorta tool to get behind that doodad, to fix that whatchamacallit.....
Way behind the motor, all covered in oil  ;D

Tune in again next week, for another update on, “ Where in de heil did Riley go?  ;)

Hope You enjoy every bit of it, man.
My mother's 61, and just started collecting social security (early retirement). She's still working though, as she's just doing part-time hours. Although Her plan is to quit Her job and go into full retirement this fall, She is still kicking around the idea of staying on the job longer. At which point Myself and everyone around Her pretty much yells JUST RETIRE ALREADY.
She's busted Her hump at the same job for nearly 30 years, so I'm looking forward to Her finally being able to relax, and not worry about Her marching off to work in some snow storm, or putting up with the "geniuses" in the office-side of things.

I think She'll enjoy what You're having right now: Not having to run to work every morning, no schedule hanging over Her head, time for relaxation. Real living.

...And more time home means more home cooking. (what? I've got My priorities too, You know)

A good day's work for me today is what I used to do when I got home from work before.

After work I would wash the van and mow the lawn - today that is a day's work !!  8-)

Yes, everyday that it is not bad weather I take a 25 mile cruise to the tip of Point Pelee National Park just south of town - the most southern part of Canada.
42nd Parallel in the park ... same as northern boundary of California.
A great ride for an old retired guy  8-)

The automatic dishwasher does a great job cleaning up engine parts - just be sure to get the parts out before the heat dry cycle....that can really cause some things to rust!

That little dispenser on the door of the dishwaher is where you add the engine oil so parts don’t rust during the drying cycle !  [ch128513][ch128077]
