This is a topic because here in St Louis we have an ultra liberal editorial columnist who lives in a very exclusive, virtually all white, suburb 40 miles from downtown yet writes as if he's 'keepin it real' in the hood. So, which side lives their personal lives nearest to their political views? |

PLUS, The, ‘Per-Diems’, and Mileage. (Which can add up easily to 1/4 of salary) Not bad, for a, ‘part-time’ Job. Now that ‘pay raise’ was NOT, in the Budget. They just did it. and took the money from other programs. “…during the past 15 years — the period for which city data are available — the council has never approved a salary increase of this size….” “…the process, or lack thereof. The raises were not on the pre-meeting agenda, no council committees had considered them, and there was no public comment period or public hearing. They also weren’t included in the city’s recently approved $1.4 billion 2018 budget….” “…Not to be overlooked in the stealthy Minneapolis resolution is the provision that the mayor and council members also will receive raises in each year of their four-year terms. …” Overview, above. Perfect example of Limousine Liberals. Don’t know of any, who live in the, ’troubled’ part of their district. Don’t know of any, who has housed, ‘refugees’, in their house. Don’t know of any, who has ‘experienced’, a drive by shooting. Don’t know of any, who, ‘Volunteers’ in a shelter/homeless/food, etc. Yet well known for giving gobs of money, to every ultra-Liberal cause that comes forward. “…which side lives their personal lives nearest to their political views? …” I do not believe the Mpls City Council, are even remotely close. |

My neighbor to my left is black,... and to my right is from India... Is that good enough?... Do your principals have you living in an exclusive gated white neighborhood?.... This is along the same lines as those crying about immigrant children, but would never agree to ease real estate restrictions again mobile homes in their exclusive neighborhoods for example. So my question was do my outward viewpoints on topics of the day match my personal living habits? Do those on the left live the talk more than, less than or equal to those on the right? |
