Title: MG Breva 750??????????????
Post by zipidachimp on 05/04/18 at 22:46:06

Craigslist here has a Moto Guzzi Breva 750, 2007 for sale at almost the same price I paid for my 2nd S40 last year. 8800 miles. Tempting! Any opinions?
cheers! 8-)

I'm a big Guzzi fan. I own several now and several more in the past.
The Breva 750 is almost as light as the s40 with about 20 more HP.
If the price is good I would go for it.

IDK about the Breva, but the Nevada 750 had the pegs up like the stirrups on a racehorse. Not comfortable.

I have the 2016 version of the Breva.   V-7 II

Its easy to like !

I've got a little over 4000  miles on it already and that 5.5 gal fuel tank is nice.    New ones now are near $9,000.   What does a used one go for ?  :-?

I haven't had a problem with the pegs being too high and I'm 5'10" w/32" inseams.

Go look at it tomorrow and report back !   Everybody needs a extra bike !  ;)

waiting for reply from seller. 2007 $3400 can$ 8800miles.
Bikes up here are more costly than south of here.
Panniers incl.
cheers! 8-)
ps: forums say this can be a high mileage(long-lived) motor!

Somewhat frequently I see them in the range of $2000 to 2500usd.
You are at $2643usd and it is low miles. Almost all I have seen have panniers.
Lots of good info on wildguzzi.com and friendly helpful people too.
Just like suzukisavage.com.
Ask for a $200 discount.
Even at the asking price if it is excellent condition it is a real bargain for such a nice bike.

I looked up the ad on CL and it looks very nice. Other than a scuff on the right bag and a half worn rear tire, it looks new. I would ride that bike anywhere.
It has a nice sized shield too.
With out the bags it is only 20lbs more heavy than a stock s40.
Probably one of these lighter Guzzi's is in my future. I have been enjoying the lightness of the s40 and I am not getting any younger so lighter is better.

I have a MG Nevada of the same year.  I altered the seating position and changed out the stock shocks for Hagons but I do similar things to every bike I buy.  As others have stated it has more power and being a twin it runs better at expressway speeds and it corners well.  I like my Savage for riding around town and short rides out on county roads but prefer the MG for longer rides at higher speeds.
Many people haven't even heard of Moto Guzzi so the market is small and selling one isn't easy which gives a buyer a real bargaining advantage.

Money aside :   My two bikes are a guzzi V-7    ,   and a Suzuki S-40   .

They are very different bikes  , and I like both of them ...  :)

I just got rid of a perfectly good Harley and kept the other two ...

Breva was removed from CL.
Congrats if you are the buyer.

too late!  shouda, woulda, coulda!  Still looking! >:(

For some reason, there's always a boatload of S40s available here, including an '06 with an 18" rear. The guy wouldn't trade for my '08.

I never paid more than $3000 for my last 3 bikes, 2 S40s and a vulcan 500. The vulcan taught me that I'm not a cruiser guy.
