I'm confused, yet again. The report says he heard women screaming and, looking at his pistol and an AR-15, chose the AR-15. The bad guy say the AR-15 (something about a bazooka??). They don't indicate that the bad guy was caught, they simply indicate that they knew the image of the AR-15 did the job. Really, ya think maybe the punk (or dimshit ex husband) wouldn't have run away if he saw a handgun? Why? 8-)
Glad he was able to stop the assault.

No JOG, U missed the point. The bad guy would probably run from a man wielding a pistol, just as well as the AR-15..most punks and wife beaters do so because they are tougher that the woman. duhhhh.
Facing a man with a gun, they tend to chicken out. Please ask the obviously unbiased source site (bearing arms) to give the interview with the beater when they get from the cops.

Brother and I once had a shoot out, he had a glock pistol with diablo (I think) bullets (new at the time) and me with a muzzle loading rifle. He took careful aim and missed every time (gallon milk jug filled with water. While I put 2 or 3 holes in it.
