So, I ‘m thinking a picture is worth a 1000 words This is what happens if you choose not to wear suncreen . They took part of my forehead to fill the spot where the cancer was removed. I have one more surgery, out of 3 left.... Get the idea of importance yet? At the time they blamed it on the less intense sun you get up there so less need to cover up. But more UVs floating around. |

How they cut skin and flesh, leave it attached, so blood supply is still avaliable to it, and use it to repair nearby damage. The knot you see on the bridge of my nose is NOT from banging heads with the Neanderthal in the tall table, no.... That is where my forehead flap is twisted, unto my hole, etc, cause from it removal. I waited too long to do this, the cancer is like an iceberg, 90% of it is under the skin, and grows, thankfully my gee away from my eye, so I should have minimal issues with it. In 3 weeks they go and remove the hump and straighten out my eye brows . Here is a close up.... Use sun screen if you don’t want to do this.... You burn at 20, you can scare at 60, honest, look for yourself ! Looks like a piece of pizza [ch127829] YUM! |

I had melanoma about 4 years ago; removal of the cancer on my back left mw with a 4" scar and I had to say goodbye to two lymph nodes under my right arm. Skin cancer sucks - but for me (and most people) the damage was done when I was probably 10 years old. Adult precautions can help, but if you've lived your life frying your skin, and you are fair-skinned, you're gonna have to pay the price at some point. Heal up dude. Let 'em know that the other guy looks far worse :) |

Got to take a shower, wash my hair, etc. Only thing that stinks now is my attitude ;D Washing the dry blood out of the eyes felt great! Rubbing the bumps around my eyes feels so good. Go back to doctor on Wednesday, then I guess she will schedule the next surgery. Bought tickets to go visit the kids in late April, hope I am presentable by then..... Well heck, if not, bet nobody tries to kick me off the plane ;D |
