Hurray! It already feels like spring here. I went riding last week and I'll probably get out again this week but the roads are heavily damaged from the deep freeze and thaw cycles of this winter.

We have had a somewhat weird winter here in KY. More ice/snow storms than usual - the weather would then warm a few days later and the ice/snow would melt and it never really built up and got deep. The storms would start out with rain that washed all the salt off the pavement - they the road crews would go out and dump more salt as the ice and snow arrived.....and the storms always seemed to arrive just before the morning commute.

Now in the last few weeks we set a new record high temperature for February (78 degrees) and had a lot of rain. The daytime highs for the next few days are going to be up around 60 - which is 10-20 degrees higher than I would expect this time of year.

I may be able to sneak in some rides soon - as long as I don't mind riding through the groundwater that is seeping out onto the roadways....our soil is saturated and the hillsides are dumping water out wherever there is a road cut or valley.

I'm thinking it may be SPRING in Daytona starting the 8th of March !

Me and OldFeller will go check it out

Some times its just hard to wait for warm weather , hopefully we can bring some of it back with us . ;)

Going to be sunny and low/mid '50s here today.
I may fire the Savage up and get in the first run of 2018 8-)

I could hear a few bikes in the 'hood yesterday .. spring's a comin' ;)

Just be careful - those "washes" across the roadways often bring gravel, some slippery mud, etc.

I think spring is around the corner.....I saw some deer moving around in the back yard yesterday.
