Title: led lighting
Post by JOEL2014 on 02/05/18 at 19:00:27

I'm hoping to install some led accent lighting very soon to increase visibility. Not only is it for safety but it looks awesome if done correctly. Anyone have any tips or care to share some pics? I am planning to keep the bike stock for the most part, but I want to light it Up.

Check through the Technical Documents and Reference section.  There are a lot of ideas there, including wiring diagrams.

You should check state laws ,some only allow them to be on if the bike is parked.

What do you mean by "accent" lighting

Do you want some additional running lights in the back and front - or do you want colored lights on the engine and pavement?

This thread spurred a bit of investigation and I came across the following site that lists LED motorcycle laws by state. Seems that S. Carolina has no LED laws on motorcycles for or against. So I reckon you can even ride with ground lights. (but don't blame me if you get busted)  :-https://www.illumimoto.com/motorcycle-led-laws-us/

Thanks a bunch! Maybe if I stay away from anything blue or anything flashing I will be ok.

Check your states Revised Statutes, or call a rider course in your area that knows the laws and can provide exact reference.

The site provided in the previous posts is inaccurate for my state.
