Title: Petcock and bung
Post by GT61 TURBO ZX14 on 02/02/18 at 20:29:35

Does anybody know where I can get a bung to put in my tank so I can install another petcock I'd like to go to the factory Style on the other side too but if I have to I'll go to bobber kit one but would like to factory

Take a flat piece of steel, and make one.  Thread the 2 holes for a 6x1.0 metric thread, the clean the bottom of the tank really well, then use flux made for steel (not plumbing flux) and solder the plate onto the bottom of the tank.

Add a factory petcock to the other side and you're never getting that tank off the frame... ;D

Not the response I expected from you - but still factual.

(I thought you were going to comment on how the subject line sounds like an adult version of Ren and Stimpy). :-?

The dimensions of the stock petcock wouldn't allow for the tank to just slide up and back like its supposed to now.

Then I will have to put a bobber style petcock on it

The Raptor petcock we recommend is fine in the normal location...the stock vacuum petcock is larger and it is not uncommon that you have to remove the petcock before you try and take the fuel tank off....as the back of the vacuum petcock hits the top frame rail and won't let you get the tank off.  The Raptor petcock is smaller and doesn't hit the frame when you remove the tank.  Nobody has every put one on the other side....I have no idea what might get in the way over on that side.

A smaller petcock may work fine for your nitrous......as you are not going to need a reserve.

That's kinda what I was thinking because it will give me more room
