Title: New Year Resolutions!
Post by Dave on 01/01/18 at 03:42:13

What changes are you making for 2018? :-?

For me:

1)  Ride More.
2)  Wrench Less.

In the last several years I have spent twice as much time in the garage working on bikes than I have riding. This was a result of the Ninja Cafe project and various other fiddling I did on the bikes.  I do need to paint the Ninja Cafe' this winter - but when riding season comes I intend to spend more time riding!  I also intend to ride my motorcycle to/from work more often - I can take some nice curvy back roads and avoid the heavy rush hour traffic on the main roads.  (My new job provides a Ford Explorer retired from the Police Department for me to drive around while at work).

Im trying to thin out the used LS650 parts collection, and have started on that already.
I need to ride more as well, the past year had a lot of things that got in the way and hopefully this year will be less so.

RETIRE.........!!!!!!!

Once and for all.

My old place of employment (plumbing)  wants me to consider working a few days a week, as the owner wants more time away....
He wants me to take over while he is gone.

Tempting, but you know they things rarely work out as expected/planned.
I could easily see it turning back into more than I want.

I think you have to square your mind to the point of not saying, "OK, this is my last hand..... ya just gotta pull up your stakes and leave the table, FOR GOOD!  ;D

Think I will go and see if the savage will even fire up.....
Been setting months  :-[

Shed a few pounds and a bad habit or two ! Maybe take up a new bad habit. Finish at least two bikes and start a third. Ride the crap out of the tracker this year.
Health Wealth & Happiness to all , Happy New Year !

Go review the Daytona Beach Bike Week proposed free campground for trip #1 -- has Dave's
Evening Shower and just built bath house and it is far enough away from the Daytonal Beach Hurley Burley zoo to give some peace and quiet to the camping experience.

(Recommendations from Florida locals were taken into picking this Central Florida location.    If you know there is a better place, please do tell -- you live local and know these things better than we do.)

Sell my little Honda CB125 and finish restoring the old BMW R60/5 airhead so I can organize/clean the garage.
