Title: Liberal, straight outta 1984

http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/12/liberalism_its_all_in_the_name.html

Washington's celebrated "Letter to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport" of 1790 makes perfectly clear how the founders used the term: "The citizens of the United States of America have a right to applaud themselves for having given to mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy — a policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience[.]"

" For example, "illiberal" means "restricting freedom of thought or behavior."  Yet people in government who call themselves "liberal" used the force of law to impose politically correct thought and behavior on a Christian baker who declined to provide a wedding cake for a same-sex couple because of his faith.  So we have an illiberal policy, imposed by "liberals."  What is going on here?"

A baker wants to impose religiously correct and behaviour... Liberals wanting to prevent this are, "illiberal"...
That's an illconservative mindset... ::)

I just invented a new phrase...
Religiously correct... (kinda' like Sharia law,.. only with Jesus)...
Make America great again... :P

Your lack of understanding of freedom is well documented. It's been explained to you. It's not right forcing someone to do what they disagree with. His conscience is his guide and nobody has a right to demand that he contract to do something  he can't be comfortable with in his heart.
Conflate race and queer.
People don't have a choice about the skin. Nowhere in the bible is it called an abomination to be some color.
Just because you can call it good doesn't mean it's good.
I'm not willing allow an atheist to dictate my actions. He doesn't either.

The baker didn't impose anything, he even offered to supply a plain wedding cake.
The liberals are the ones who impose upon him to decorate the cake to their intent.

It would make america great, if only those who profess, acted as they judged.

No, he wants to PRACTISE, you want to ENFORCE.......

The man has no ability from stopping another baker, to bake them a cake....
You want to FORCE ALL bakers to bake them a cake!

Do you know the meaning of intolerance?

Yeah, sorta like how YOU do not like my personality, or what I post, and delete or censor it from your position...... you mean?

I am who I am, that is the REAL me, yet, you want to force me to behave in a manner that you like.....why?

Is that tolerance?

Why do you never answer a question straight out?
Why do you feel its your right to impose your beliefs on others as better?
Yet you hardly ever engage, you obfuscate, or ignore, ridicule.......

Why is it folk demand of others, but it seems never willing to acknowledge their own duplicity and hypocrisy in doing so?

Who really hates the man they see in the mirror?

. All possess alike liberty of conscience[.]"

The important of that sentence is lost on people who demand that everyone believe as they believe and do as they call
Good.
