Title: Help a fellow out on jets?
Post by NHLycan on 09/23/17 at 06:13:51

Ladies and gents, I have a 2003, LS650 and I plan to rejet this winter. Can I get a recommendation on the ones I should buy? It's the same old thing, it's just a little too lean even with the screw backed out behind the hidden plate. Thank you kindly.

The screw only effects the idle circuit. We need information prior to making an informed recommendation.

What is the altitude range in which you ride?
What jets are in the now?
What are the condition of your air filter and spark plugs?
What other mods are on the bike?

Below 2000 feet above sea level.
Factory jets.
Raptor in.
Plug and filter are changed every year. Standard.

Stock exhaust? Stock filter?

If so, and given your altitude, I'd start with a 150 Main and a 55 Pilot. The the next size up and down on the Main are 152.5 and 147.5 - I'd buy those too. A 55 pilot may be too fat, so buy a 52.5 too.

If you have an aftermarket exhaust then you will probably have to go up one bigger on the Main. Don't forget to adjust the needle too.

Tune for throttle response.

Set your idle at 1,300-1,400 rpm. As you make adjustments, reset your idle.
