Title: oem bar doesnt fit aftermarket risers
Post by Slim4177 on 08/31/17 at 14:13:17

Tried to drop my 08 down to a 3.5" krator riser today and found that either the oem bar is slightly out of round or the riser has an oval center on both sides.  Havent measured either yet, just wondering if this is a common issue and how most people solve it.

readjusted, checked again.  I managed to snug one set (side) of the riser screws up to a point that looks normal, but the other side closes unevenly, the right side of the cap on the left riser is snug while the left side of the same cap has a 1/16" (Or a little more) gap.  Not sure how to go about fixing it, sanding chrome sounds like an exercise in futility.

Have the clamps got two screws each? I found that the 1" bars I bought were just slightly larger in diameter than the stock bars. I had to tighten the screws on each side a little at a time and make sure the slight gap stayed even. In the end I have a very slight gap on each side but they are secure and it looks fine. It might just be a case of different manufacturing tolerances.
