This is the first time I've seen one for sale. It looks good but the price seems too high.

The GR650 was a parallel twin sold in 83 and 84.

The problem with the address is that the word wrap left the last to letters on the second line. Clicking on the address and then adding the ml to the end of that address takes you there.
I just tried using a smaller font but it still word wraps at the same point leaving the ml on the second line.

Never seen one of these up here in Canada, but it looks like a nice bike and 2100 does not seem to far wrong for 7200 mi.

That's not the Japanes market model that we've been drooling over. That's the export twin. Not the same bike at all.

I was watching that one for a few weeks. It looked very clean, too clean for me to rip apart! lol

The GR650 twin is a pretty cool bike in it's own right. They only brought them to the US for a couple of years and can be found in the US and Canada. The biggest issue that I've seen is that a starter gear or shaft fails and it's impossible to get that part. Otherwise the bikes appear to be bomb proof.

Got to ride one here in North Hollywood when I was in the market for a new bike last year. Very fun ride. Kind of reminded me of the old performance Virago 750's but more responsive. The guy selling it was really honest and said that I probably shouldn't by it because I live in an apartment without a garage, and if one of the more rare parts were to break I might not be able to do a quick fix.

I can understand why if probably failed when it had to compete with the Nighthawk 650's of the time which are MUCH more powerful and a little better sprung despite having traditional shocks.

I'd put this in a category of really cool bikes that were canceled before they should have been like the performance Viragos, Ascots, CB700s and the Seca line. But I have less experience with the Tempter than these other bikes so I could be missing something.
