Title: Favorite NH/Eastern Mass parts store or junkyards Post by bradyGOAT on 08/08/17 at 09:34:30 Lucky me, my gear shifter rod snapped. Smart me, I ordered the dang clutch rod instead. Perhaps Amazon Prime has spoiled me, but BOY is it annoying to wait a week+ for a part. Anyone in the NH/Mass area have a recommended parts store or junk yard? Or better yet, anyone have a spare rod laying around I could trade you a six pack for? ;D |

At some point I was ordering other parts I went ahead and ordered one to have if/when needed. It's hard not to have these cheap parts on stand-by so they are there when you need them, or when you get a square peg when you needed something to fit in a round hole >:( |

I had trouble getting it into neutral, and out of neutral into first. No problems other than that |
Title: Re: Favorite NH/Eastern Mass parts store or junkya Post by ohiomoto on 08/09/17 at 07:02:23 When that happens, let the clutch out to get the trans to move and try again. My linkage broke once. I was at a light and it just broke when I went to put it in gear. After it broke, I noticed that it had been bent at some point causing it to weaken over time. |
